Kendra Leigh Farmer 52, Roan Mountain, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024 at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. She was born March 5, 1972 in Banner Elk, North Carolina. She was always striving to bring joy and lend a helping hand. Her love for her grandbabies was immense.. Kendra was not just a mother, daughter, sister & aunt, she was an incredible woman who touched many lives. Her hobbies were spending time with her grandchildren and working on crafts. She was preceded in death by her father: Fred Farmer, Great Aunt: Patty Lee, Aunt: Kelley Wingate, Kay Hitchew and her step-mother: Josephine Farmer.

Survivors include her Mother: Connie Gibson (John) of Roan Mountain, One Sister: Freda Hicks, Roan Mountain, Brother: Joe Farmer, Roan Mountain. A Daughter: Beanna King (Bobby Thompson), Roan Mountain. A Son: Steven Hassell (Nikola Harrison). One Aunt: Jo Delaria, Elk Park, N.C. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, December 6, 2024 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Israel Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in the McKinney Cemetery, Elk Park, NC. Active Pallbearers will be Steven Hassell, David Shell, Dervivs Shook, Bobby Thompson, Noah Hicks and Greg Heaton. Honorary Pallbearers will be: John Gibson, Joe Farmer, Tristin Hicks, Hunter & Chase Shell and Sam Gibbs. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1 p.m. Friday prior to the service.
