Kathy Ann McKinney, mother to Amanda Blair and Angie Hill Left this life to be with Jesus on June 19th, 2024. Her final moments were spent peacefully surrounded by her family and her pastor.
Kathy enjoyed flowers, birds and butterflies. She loved living her life for God and serving others. She was faithful member of Belview Baptist Church. She was known for her giving and compassionate heart. She was most recently employed at Yellow Mtn. Enterprises where she gained another family that she cherished dearly. Kathy will be missed by all who knew her. Kathy's family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life.
Kathy was preceded in death by parents A.D. and Marla McKinney of Roan Mtn. TN two brothers, Coy McKinney of Elk Park, NC and Jerry McKinney of Roan Mtn., TN.
She is survived by daughter, Amanda Blair and son-in-law Brian Blair of Roan Mtn., TN Daughter Angie Hill of Elizabethton, TN. Grandchildren include: Hunter and Ambrien Blair of Roan Mtn., TN. Mikey Hill of Elizabethton, TN. Heather Frye and husband Allen Frye of Rhode Island and a Great Granddaughter, Alyna Frye of Rhode Island. A special Aunt Irene Hollars of Morganton, NC and a special Aunt Gloria McKinney of Florida. Uncle Mack Simms and wife Jean of S.C. and several nephews and nieces and special cousins who were like sisters.
A celebration of life will be held at Belview Baptist Church on July 6th, 2024 at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m.
The family would also like to express a special thanks to Hospice and Home Care of Blue Ridge for all the wonderful care that they provided. "Therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature: old thing are passed away; behold all things are become new." II Corinthians 5:17
