Obituary

Junior Lee Taylor, 88, Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2023 in the Lakebridge Health Center. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Levi & Ida Estep Taylor. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Junior was a retired Truck Driver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Nila Arnold Taylor who passed away January 23, 2012, by a half brother, Paul Davis and by seven sisters: Eileen  Estep, Sally Estep, Wilma Moffitt, Clara Cole,, Martha Peters, Mary Lipps and Eva Lipps.

Survivors include Three Children: Inez Taylor, Terry Taylor and Jeff Taylor. One Granddaughter: Sara Goodwin. One Sister: Nora Moffitt. Several nieces and nephews including a special niece: Burless Estep.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Garland Cemetery with Mr. Harry "Buddy" Arnold officiating. Active Pallbearers will be: David Grindstaff, Denver Campbell, Brian Arnold, Wayne Sams, Ed Speer and Joe Estep. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Gerald Arnold, Rick Arnold, David Birchfield, and Willie Setzer. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Amedisys Hospice and Burless Estep. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday prior to the Graveside Service. Condolences may be sent to the family at our web-site www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
