Judy Karan Guinn, 67, Johnson City, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014 in the Appalachian Christian Village. She was born in Waynesboro, Virginia but had lived her entire life in Tennessee. She was a 1965 graduate of Elizabethton High School. She was a homemaker. Judy was a member of the Pinecrest Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Guinn who died February 12, 1993.
Survivors include Two Daughters: Amy Yothers, Johnson City and Ellen Brummitt, Charlotte, North Carolina. A Son: Robert W. Guinn, Jr., Johnson City. Six Grandchildren and Five Great Grandchildren. Two Brothers: Jack Dempsey and Robert "Bugs" Dempsey, both of Watauga.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, October 5, 2014 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Randy Carrier officiating. Interment will be in Washington County Memory Gardens at a later date. Honorary Pallbearers will be her church family. The family would like to express a special "Thank You" to her neighbor Allen Rosenbaum. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday prior to the service.
