Judy Ann
Blankenship
Oct 12, 1947 — Aug 29, 2023
Judy Ann Frazier Blankenship, 75, Elizabethton, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at her residence. Judy was proud to be from Stoney Creek and honored to be a Unaka Ranger alumni. She took great pride in being a nurse. Judy practiced at Carter County Memorial Hospital and finished her career at Veteran's Administration Mountain Home. Judy was a part of the First Church of God in Elizabethton.
In Judy's own words, "I do love books. I, in my old age, enjoy reading. I,suppose right now in my life it is what I enjoy most of all, beside my family. They are my most wonderful blessing." She encouraged all who met her to read. "The more you read the more things you know." Therefore in lieu of flowers, the family is requesting any donations be made to the Elizabethton-Carter County Public Library 201 N Sycamore Street, Elizabethton, TN 37643. We ask you request the money be used for the purchase of books. Also, my mother would be overjoyed if any of you would share a passage from your favorite book with others and donate a copy to your local community book box in honor of our mother Judy Blankenship. It was her wish to be cremated and no services are planned.
