Judy Nave Bailey, 78, Elizabethton, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 2, 2024 after an extended illness. She was born July 28, 1945 in Carter County to the late Crawford and Gertrude Elliott Nave Judy was a 1963 graduate of Elizabethton High School and attended East Tennessee State University. She was a member of the Gideons Auxiliary, had been with meals on wheel for 25 years, Judy loved her church, Siam Baptist Church and was active in her church, serving as a Sunday School Teacher of the 3 & 4th grades also had been Secretary at Calvary Baptist Church for 20 plus years, She is also preceded in death by one brother, Sidney Nave. Judy loved to knit and go camping with her husband, family and friends.

Judy is survived by her husband of 59 years, Doug Bailey. She is also survived by her beloved nieces: Brenda Smith and Christina Brummitt and Nephew, Bob Nave. Judy will also be missed by her special cousin, Jean Peters and a special friend, Sue Anderson. Her Brother-in-Law: Rev. Rodney Bailey and wife Bobbi and her sister-in-law: Loretta Pritchard.

A service will be held at Memorial Funeral Chapel at 7 p.m. Monday, May 06, 2024 with Pastor Jack Roddy and Pastor Brian Hollaway, officiating and music will be provided by Mr. Billy Anderson. There will be a visitation from 6-7 p.m. prior to the service. The graveside service will be at Nave Cemetery at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 07, 2024. Active Pallbearers will be the Men of Siam Baptist Church. Family and friends going to the cemetery are requested to meet at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. prior to the graveside service to go in procession to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Siam Baptist Church, 2414 Siam Road, Elizabethton, Tenn. 37643.
