Joyce Jacqueline "Jackie" Norris, 93, Butler went home to be with her Lord, Saturday December 30, 2023 at the Hermitage Health Center after an extended illness. She was born November 30, 1930 to the late Clyde & Virginia Johnson Hood. Jackie was a graduate of East Tennessee State College. She was a retired School Teacher in the Johnson County School System.. Until her illness she was an active member of Cobbs Creek Baptist Church and had served as Pianist for several years.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John E. Norris, Jr. and a brother Sonny Hood.

Survivors include a son: Craig Norris. Two Grandsons: Evan and Elijah Norris. Two Nieces, Sherry Carson, Denmark, and Tammy Rice, Dallas, Texas.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 4, 2024 in the Butler Memorial Cemetery with her Nephew Terry Hood officiating.
