Johnny Clawson, Sr., 62, Johnson City, passed away peacefully at his home, Friday, June 6, 2025. He was a Carter County native. He was a graduate of Happy Valley High School. He was a factory Worker having been employed at American Water Heater. He loved cars and motorcycles. He was of the Baptist Faith. Johnny was preceded in death by his father: Byrd Clawson, his mother: Mable Davis Mitchell, His sisters and brothers: Shirley White, Trissia Nave, Pauline Julian and two brothers: Billy Clawson and Jessie Clawson. Several nieces and nephews.

Survivors include two sisters: Patsy (Dean) Presnell and Susie (Bill) Dishner, Two Sons: Johnny Lee Clawson, Jr. and Zachary Clawson. One Daughter: Sarah. Also, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2025 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dean Presnell officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2025 in the Johnson Cemetery (Crabtree). Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7 p.m. Monday, prior to the service. The family would like to express a special thank you to the Staff of Amedisys Hospice and his neighbors for all the support they gave him during his sickness.
