Jerry Wayne Freeman, 80, of Johnson City went to be in the presence of his Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Johnson City Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather whom was a devoted Elder of Unity Fellowship Church of Elizabethton for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents: Howard C. & Mae Clyburn Freeman, a brother: Clifford Freeman, Sister: Sharon Greer, a daughter: Cathy Stines and a grandson: Charles Presnell, Jr. Jerry loved flying. He found freedom in the sky where flying wasn't just a career it was one of his greatest joys. Now he is taking his final flight soaring into the never ending skies

Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years: Kay Dykes Freeman, a sister: Elaine Nichols & Husband Michael, a son: Terry Freeman & Wife Debbie, a daughter: Sherri Webster & Husband Danny. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren. His four legged furry buddy "Rosie".

A Service to Celebrate the life of Jerry will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 13, 2025 in the Unity Fellowship Church, with Pastors Greg Wagner and Danny Webster officiating. Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park with Jacob Finley officiating. Music will be provided by Danny Webster and Jacob Finley. Active Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be his church family and his pilot friends.
