Jennifer Leeanne
Carpenter
Jul 29, 1964 — Sep 12, 2025
Elizabethton
J ennifer LeeAnne Carpenter, 61, of Elizabethton, passed peacefully in her home Friday afternoon, September 12th, 2025. She was surrounded by her family and the sounds of her grandchildren playing. Jennifer was born July 29th, 1964, in Elizabethton to the late Bruce Lee and Elizabeth Anne Crowe Blevins. She was a graduate of Elizabethton High School, class of 1982, where she was an avid member of the FFA and competed in several competitions. She was a member of Slagle's Community Church.
Jennifer married the love of her life Kirbie in 1984. They spent 41 happy and beautiful years together raising their two children, Logan and Kelsey. She loved her family above all else, especially her three grandchildren who knew her as Mimi. She loved spending time with her family every chance she had, and in between, loved to garden, bird watch, fish, and ride horses. She was a lifelong lover of animals and would regularly tell stories about the flying squirrel she rescued as a child that would sleep curled in her hair.
Jennifer and Kirbie moved to the Blue Springs area of Stoney Creek in the Fall of 1992, where she spent the majority of her life. In the early years, she spent time with her neighbor and friend, Paul Oliver, putting out a yearly garden and helping him tend it. After each new tilling of the ground, she would spend hours with her husband and children walking the newly made rows looking for arrowheads and other trinkets left behind by a long gone home that once stood on their property.
As her children grew older, and after Paul had passed away, she began to raise horses on the land she once gardened. She would go on rides with her husband and neighbors and take her children on rides around the yard. Over the years, she continued to garden and raise animals such as pheasants, goats, and chickens. She also loved to sit on her porch and watch the birds and other animals that came to visit, especially her hummingbirds.
Jennifer was a kind, empathetic and compassionate person, a loving wife and mother, and leaves behind a legacy of love. She will continue to live on through the love and wisdom she shared with her children, her family, and those whose lives she touched.
She leaves behind her husband, Kirbie Dean Carpenter, Two Children: Logan Blake Carpenter and his wife Rebekah Carpenter, Kelsey LeeAnna (Carpenter) Pierce and her husband Eric Pierce. Three Grandchildren: Everly Pierce, Layla Pierce and Isaiah Carpenter. One Brother: Billy Joe Blevins and his wife Lisa Blevins. Several Nieces and Nephews, and her Mother-In-Law: Virginia Gipson.
