Jeffery Lynn Hayes, 59, Johnson City, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023, in the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born June 24, 1964 in Carter County. He was a graduate of Happy Valley High School. Jeffery owned and operated an auto body shop. He loved cars and tractors. He was preceded in death by his father: Clarence Hayes and a brother: Marlon Hayes.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years: Lisa Shepherd Hayes. Three Children: Jessica Barnett & friend: Aaron Moore, Christy Peterson & husband Tyler and Sarah Hayes and friend: Dylan Fields. Three Grandchildren: Hannah Vaughn, Kinsley Moore, and Cyler Peterson. His Mother: Shirley Hayes. His special niece: Betsy Shepherd & husband Joe, also a special friend: David Whitehead.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2023 in the Williams Cemetery at Milligan College. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 2:50 p.m. Thursday will be: Dylan Fields, John Stewart, Aaron Moore, Tyler Peterson , Joe Shepherd and Raymond Whitehead. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 2:50 p.m. Thursday. The family will received friends at the residence following the Graveside Service.
