Jaylen Steven Burleson, 19, Elizabethton, died Friday May 22, 2026. He was born October 4, 2006. He graduated from Hampton High School, May 15, 2026 where he played on the football team. He loved football and working on cars. Jaylen began his employment at the Johnson City Water and Sewer Services. He was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandmother Brenda Burleson and a cousin Etha Burleson.

Survivors include his father: Javelle Turner, his mother: Tracy Burleson, a brother: Donnique Burleson, a cousin: Makayla Burleson and other siblings. His Maternal Grandfather: Steve Burleson and his wife Alicia. His Uncle Jeremy Burleson and wife Aretha and kids.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 2026 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Caleb King and Pastor Kenny Lethcoe officiating. Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2026 in the Whitehead Cemetery, Butler. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 9:50 a.m. Monday will be: Maddux Wilson, Peyton Townsend, Ashton Hardin, Cayden Clarke, Carter Force and J.J. McElyea. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Hampton High School Class of 2025 and 2026. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home prior to the service.
