James G. Reed, 85, Johnson City, passed away Monday, April 14, 2025 in the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born July 20, 1939 in Johnson City to the late Echol M. Reed, Sr. and Mary Hodge Reed. He was a graduate of Happy Valley High School. He served in the Army National Guard. Mr. Reed retired as Service Manager with the Ted Britt Ford, Fairfax, Virginia. He loved cars and going to car shows.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister: Maxine Davenport and a brother: Echol M. Reed, Jr.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years: Betty Ringley Reed. One Brother: Mark Reed and wife Paula. Eight Special Nieces & Nephews: Kelly Nichols and husband Greg, Justin Reed & wife Katie, Jennifer Porterfield & husband Stephen, Laura Bennington, James Reed & wife Jenni, Jason Reed & wife Kate, Matthew Reed and companion Christophe and Tara Cooper & husband D.W. A Sister-In-Law: Susan Reed.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2025 in the Highland Cemetery, Rogersville, Tenn. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m. Saturday. Condolences may be sent to the family at our web-site www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
