James H. Payne, 77, Hampton passed away at his residence on 01/19/2025. He is from Hemphill, West Virginia, and was the son of the late Claude and Clara Osborne Payne. In additions to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers: Frankie and Riley and sisters: Ann Mitchel, Dona Gonechurch, and Louise Payne and one great grandchild. James enjoyed fishing and gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Estep Payne; daughters: Michelle Payne and Jessica Payne; son: Mark Allen Payne; Sisters Trula Keene, Charlene Workman, Irene Payne; Brothers: Roy Payne, Eddie Payne and Tommy Payne. He also will be missed by his 15 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchidlren along with several nieces and nephews.
