James Darryl Adams, 82, Elizabethton, formerly of Marion, Illinois went to be with his Lord, Wednesday, September 17, 2025 Ocoee Hillview Health Center. He was born July 27, 1943 in Herrin, Illinois to the late James Adams and Imogene Kimmel Miller. He had lived five years in Carter County. He had served in the United States Army. He was a retired Service Tech with GTE. James sang with a family Gospel Group and loved Bluegrass music ,Gospel Music, Played the Base Guitar and loved his family. He attended Heartland Fellowship. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: David Adams.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years: Eva Sue Adams. Two Daughters: April Harmon & husband Eric and Jaydra Woods & Husband Dareck. Two Grandchildren: Isaiah Woods & wife Samantha and Asher Woods. One Foster Daughter: Cindy Mcgee and Foster -Grandson Michael Mcgee. One Sister: Sharon Beck. One Brother: Larry Adams and multiple nieces and nephews.
