It is with much sorry to announce the passing of Jack Humphreys on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Johnson City Medical Center passed away peacefully & with dignity while surrounded by family. Jack was born in Carter County to the late Ontie Kyle & Mildred Russell Humphreys on February 18, 1944. He is survived by the love of his life, wife Geraldene Humphreys of 56 years, stepson: Tommy Boone of Johnson City. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Charles & Paul Humphreys, Michael Carver, Two Sisters: Jean Cole and Brenda Stines, a stepson: Steve McKinney and a nephew, he considered a son, who were inseparable, Randy Buck.

Jack is survived by three sisters: Paulene Smith, Virginia Nidiffer and Frances Buck (Jerry). Jack is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. Special nephews who care for him in his last months of life, Eric & Anthony Buck. He also had a special nephew, David Nidiffer, special friend, Joe Holsclaw. Jack retired from Mor Flo after decades of service.

Jack never met a stranger and touched people's lives in a gentle, caring, loving, and fun way. He was everyone's favorite uncle and was called "Uncle Jack" by many who were not family related. Jack always attempted to make something good out of something bad. The most important thing in life to him was family. Jack was very energetic, even in his late years. He lived every day to the fullest and even tried making people laugh during his first and only hospital stay. He loved nature, football, Nascar, four wheeling in his jeeps, hot rods of all kinds and his Garage. He had a great passion for music and was a well-known Elvis & Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Jack was an extremely hard worker. His laugh and smile were epic. When he made his mind up over something, he never quit, and the four corners of earth could not contain him. Jack was a fierce, brave, honest, sentimental and a carefree man. He was a man's man. Most importantly, he received Christ as his Savior before he passed and greeted his Lord & Loved ones in Heaven. Jack will be extremely missed by all.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2025, in the Happy Valley Memorial Park with Pastor Rusty Verran officiating.
