Jackie Ray Howell, 84, Elizabethton, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2025, in Ivy Hall Nursing Home He was born April 26, 1941, in Naoma, West Virginia to the late Henry & Juanita Johnson Howell. Jackie was a graduate of Unaka High School. He had lived in Tennessee for several years. He had owned several Restaurants. He loved working in his garden, flowers and decorative cross-stitching.  He was a member of Riverview Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Brenda Salyer Howell.

Survivors include Four Children: Julie Taylor, Kevin (Melissa) Lewis, Katina Wilson and Jackie (Greg) Hatfield. 11 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. One Sister: Nancy Markland.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, August 8, 2025, in Happy Valley Memorial Park with Pastor Mark Grubb officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family would like to express a special thank you to his care givers: Lindsey, Nikki, Juanita and Tisha. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Friday.
