Henry Mcarthur Hicks 84, Hampton, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at his residence. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Joseph & Rosie Odom Hicks. He was a graduate of Hampton High School and attended East Tennessee State College. He was retired from Levi Strauss. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter: Jamie Leigh Lewis and a brother: Clarence Hicks. He was a member of Hampton Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife of 58 ½ years Margaret Smith Hicks. One Son: Brian (Jennifer) Hicks. Four Grandsons: Bryson Hicks, Brody Hicks, Hayden Lewis and Gavy n Lewis. Two Brothers: Frank Hicks and David Homer Hicks. One Sister: Birdie Odom. Several nieces & nephews. His Brother-In-Law: Richard Smith and his Sister-In-Law: Connie Holmes and her husband Dave and Paula Smith.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 6 p.m. Sunday, December 21, 2025, in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Dwayne Calhoun, Mr. John Wasen and Mr. Michael Odom, Ministers officiating. Graveside Service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 22, 2025, in the Rittertown Baptist Church Cemetery. Music will be by Greg Odom. Active Pallbearers will be Grandsons, nephews, and family. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
