Harold Dean Street, 80, of Elizabethton went home to be with the Lord, peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family on Monday night, July 28, 2025 after a long fought battle of cancer. Mr. Street was a graduate of Hampton High School in 1963, he then went on to serve in the US Navy as a Quarter Master on the USS Independence and served in the Vietnam War from 1963 to 1967. He was also retired after working 36 years from Snap-On-Tools. He enjoyed spending time with his family, going to Hampton Football Games, fishing and hunting. He was of the Free Will Baptist Faith. Mr. Street was preceded in death by his parents: Robert McKinley and Jettie Canter Street and a brother: Donnie Street.
Those left to cherish his memory is the mother of his children: Susie Street, His Daughter: Crystal Carpenter & husband Chad, His Sons: Walter Street & Wife Sheri, and Jeremy Street. His Grandchildren: Chasity Skeans, Cierra Carpenter, Lakin Street-Williams & husband Connie, Landon Street, Elijah Dye, Felicity, Heidi, & Berkley Street. His Great Grandchildren: Aubree Thomas, Braycen Thomas and Dorothy Williams.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, August 1, 2025 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with his son Walter Street & Pastor Richard Sheppard officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 2, 2025 in the Lyons Cemetery. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Saturday will be: Chad Carpenter, Landon Street, Jeremy Street, Joe Greenwell, Ryan Thomas and Connie Williams. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Roger Franklin, Ted Vines and Paul Shook. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. John Free Will Baptist Church, 178 Old Rock Quarry Road, Roan Mountain 37687 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38101. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Saturday to go in procession to the cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at our web-site www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
