Harlen Eugene West, 77, Watauga, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024 in the Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Washington County, he was a son of the late Bernie & Martha Ferguson West. He worked in the construction business and was also a roofer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: David and Douglas West. Harlen was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Johnson City.

Survivors include two Sisters: Linda Carden and Margaret Hoilman, both of Watauga. One Brother: Donald West & wife Kathy, Johnson City. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2024 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jim Perkins and Pastor Dean Presnell officiating. Interment will follow in the Mosley Cemetery, Unicoi. Music will be provided by Mike Presnell and Dean Presnell. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family would like to express a special thank you to the members of Bethel Baptist Church and Jim Perkins and Dean Presnell for their prayers and support during his illness.
