Gregory Donald
Treadway
Nov 21, 1964 — Jan 13, 2026
Elizabethton
Gregory Donald Treadway, age 61, of Elizabethton, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home on the mountain on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. He was born on November 21, 1964, in Elizabethton to Sandra Treadway and the late Donald J. Treadway.
Greg graduated from Elizabethton High School in 1983. Throughout his career, he worked in several roles, including supervisor, pipefitter, and welder, before eventually retiring from PPM. Outside of work, Greg loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and took many trips across the country on his motorcycle. A true free spirit, he enjoyed watching Tennessee football and was always on the hunt for his next great bargain. Greg was truly one of a kind—often described as someone who "broke the mold."
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Sandra Treadway, wife of 20 years, Brandy Treadway; his children, Erica, Bailey, and Hannah; five grandchildren; and his beloved four-legged friend, Leroy (Scooter).
Greg was preceded in death by his father, Donald Treadway.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home. A graveside service will be at 12:30 p.m. at Happy Valley Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. John Bunn. Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Bandara, Matthew Bushell, Ladd Gould, Shane Gouge, Michael Scott, Brian Cook, Brandon Cook, and Tim Treadway.
Though Greg's physical presence is no longer with us, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift all who knew him. May his memory be a blessing, and may we honor his life by carrying forward his legacy of love and individuality.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Elizabethton, 212 East F Street, Elizabethton, TN 37643, in support of the Food Hub, helping continue God's work in Greg's hometown. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
Memorial Funeral Chapel is serving the Treadway family.
