Gregory D. Moreland, 75, Elizabethton, passed away Monday, December 15, 2025, at his residence after a brief illness. He was born March 21, 1950, in Elizabethton to the late Robert & Barbara White Moreland. He was a graduate of Unaka High School and attended Lees-McRae College, Banner Elk, NC. He was retired from the Kroger Company after 37 ½ years. He loved to play Golf & Tennis. He was a member of Lynn Valley Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years: Melissa Davis Moreland. A Daughter: Tara Moreland. One Nephew: Todd Moreland & wife Dani, Two Aunts: Shirley Quisenberry and Janice Oliver & husband Rondal, One Uncle Henry White & wife Betty, Two Brothers-In-Law; Mike Davis & wife Lois and Ron Davis & wife Beck. His special friends the Deal family.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2025, in Happy Valley Memorial Park with the Rev. Jack Lloyd officiating. Active Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be his golfing buddies. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Ring The Bells, Lynn Valley Baptist Church. 1367 Broad Street, Elizabethton, Tenn. 37643.  Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
