Glenn Edgar Grindstaff, 84, Elizabethton, went to be with his Lord, Tuesday, September 16, 2025, in the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born November 1, 1940, in Elizabethton to the late Alfred & Etta Pierce Grindstaff. Glenn was a graduate of Unaka High School. He was a retired employee of Mapes Piano String, having been employed there from 1960 until he retired in 2004. He was an avid Vol fan and loved his grandchildren and his church Stoney Creek Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon for several years in addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Judy Hickman Grindstaff who died September 7, 2015, and was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his son: Brad Grindstaff and his fiancé Misty Counts. Three Grandchildren: Bryana (Austin) Dugger, Landon Grindstaff and Sophia (Logan) Altizer. Three Great Grandchildren. Two Sisters; Cleta Mae Kyte and Pat Guinn and one brother: Dean (Flo) Grindstaff. Several nieces and nephews including a special niece: Pam Pippen.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2025, in the Stoney Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Davis and Dr. Kenneth Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in the Grindstaff Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the church prior to the service.
