Glenda Gail Brown Gentry, 59, Elizabethton, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014 at her residence after an illness of five months. A native of Lenoir, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Billy Mack Brown and Betty Jean Perkins Whitson. She had lived most of her life in Carter County. She was a former employee of Alemite Corporation. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister: Janice Huskins.
Survivors include her husband: David C. Gentry. Two Children: Leisa Brown, Unicoi and Mark Brown and wife Aimee, Jacksonville, Florida. Two Grandchildren: Dominic Brown and MaKenzie Casey. One Brother: Bobby Brown, Greeneville, Tn. Four Sisters: Candy McDonald and husband Bill, Lenoir, North Carolina, Connie, Kathy and Christi Whitson all of Johnson City. Several nieces & nephews.
Memorial Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2014 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Roger Haley officiating. Music will be provided by Dominic Brown. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Mrs. Gentry to the American Cancer Society % Lou Cooter, 415 Washington Avenue, Elizabethton, Tenn. 37643.
