Gladys Faye "Nanny" Nance Hicks, 83, of Piney Flats, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025 at her residence. She was born on June 14, 1941 in Elizabethton, Tn. to the late Minnie Bullocks  & Dave Ellis. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Nance and her second husband Ralph Hicks. four sisters: Juanita White, Atchison, Kansas, Selda Wilson, Mabel Birchfield and Ida Andes all of Elizabethton, Tn. and several nieces & nephews.

She is survived by three children: Dwayne Nance (Manana), Gregory Nance (Carrie) and Lisa Crusenberry (Harvey). Eleven Grandchildren: Katrina Nance, Melissa Newman (Matthew ), Christopher Nance, Rebecca Nance, Allison Lezotte (Michael), Dwayne Jr Nance, Jacob Crusenberry, Hunter Nance, Gregory JR. Nance Lindsey Crusenberry and Bambi Nance. 24 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025 in the Spears Cemetery, Bluff City with Robert Crusenberry and Jim Odom officiating. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 3:50 p.m. Saturday will be: Christopher Nance, Dwayne JR. Nance, Hunter Nance,  Gregory Nance, Michael Lezotte and Brady Newman. Honorary Pallbearers will be; Harvey Crusenberry, Jacob Crusenberry, Christopher Spetnagel, Barry Newman, Derrick Spetnagel, George Day, Tex Scalf, Jamie Wallin, Coye Wheeler, Roger Johnson and Conrad Goodman.
