Geraldine Jessee “Jerri” Simerly., 93, Johnson City Passed away Sunday, September 13, 2026 at her residence. She was born July 29, 1933 in Elizabethton to the late Thomas Clyde and Fannie Myrtle Kelly Jessee. She was a 1951 graduate of Elizabethton High School. She had worked in Real Estate. She was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church, where she was a Secretary for several years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband L.D. Simerly, her daughter Cynthia Caudill and four brothers and one sister.

Survivors include her son Terry Lee Simerly. three Grandchildren: Andy Simerly, Ashley Simerly and Jessica Pierce. two Great Grandchildren: Hailey Presnell and Taylor Pierce. Several nieces and nephews.

A Service to Celebrate the life of Geraldine will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2026 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Steve Fuston and Pastor Larry Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Music will be provided by Larry Montgomery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.
