George Kenneth Williams, 90, Hampton, passed away Monday, June 8, 2026 in the Holston Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Kingsport. A native of Carter County, he was born May 12, 1936 to the late Henry and Polly Hill Williams. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He also served in the National Guard for several years. He was employed at North American Rayon Corporation for several years.

George loved fishing and watching the Braves Baseball on TV. He was a member of Hampton Masonic Lodge and Hampton Christian Church. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by a son: Michael Williams.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years: Retha Timbs Williams. One Son and Daughter-In-Law: Kenny and Michelle Williams. Three Grandchildren: Dakota, Tyler and Peyton. One Great Granddaughter: Bristol Williams. Several nieces and nephews including his special nieces: Lisa McGinnis, Lauryn Grace McGinnis and Traci Shelton Powers.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2026 in the Mountain Home Cemetery (Historic Section) with Mr. Dwayne Calhoun , Minister officiating. Military Honors will be provided. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hampton Christian Church 810 Deerfield Lane. Hampton, Tn 37658.
