Forthia Christine Emerson, 55, Hampton, passed away Monday, September 1, 2025, in the Bristol Regional Hospital. She was born March 14, 1970, in Elizabethton. Forthia was a graduate of Hampton High School. She loved working with crafts. She was preceded in death by her mother: Regina Potter Smith and her husband Douglas Wayde Emerson.

Survivors include her children: Victoria Brooke Hardin and Savannah Adkins and husband Samuel. Four Grandchildren: Brayden Hardin, Day Church, Autumn Church and Ellie Adkins. Her Father: J.D. Smith. One Brother: Capt. John Smith.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2025, in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dean Presnell officiating. Interment will follow in the Morton-Cave Hill Cemetery, Hampton. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday prior to the service. Active Pallbearers will be: Capt.
