Emily Shirley, 94, Elizabethton went to be with her Lord, Monday, February 24, 2025 at Ivy Hall Nursing Home after an extended illness. She was born July 23, 1930 in Caldwell, Texas to the late Frank J. and Mary Mikeska. She had lived in Tennessee since 1966. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved her flowers, gardening and bird watching. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church where she had served as a Sunday School Teacher for a number of years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John W. Shirley, Jr., a daughter: Anita Smith, agreat grandson: Triston Smith, a brother: Milton Mikeska and a sister: Olga Wilson.

Survivors include Five Children: Gary J. Shirley, Elaine Shirley Osgood, Diana Shirley (Richard) Campbell, Joseph E. Shirley and Stacy Shirley (William) Jack. Nine Grandchildren, several great grandchildren, One Sister: Sylvia McClain.
