Obituary

Earnest W. (Bill) Julian 88, Roan Mountain, passed away Wednesday May 1, 2024 at his residence. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Robert M. Mackley and Mary Lilly Julian. Bill was a retired employee of the Carter County Highway Department. He loved the outdoors, fishing, camping and sports. He was an avid UT Sports Fan. He had recently gotten saved and would have attended Crabtree Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Eva Lucille Roberson Julian, Two Sisters: Louise Honeycutt and Shirlene Roberson.

Survivors include his daughter & Son-In-Law: Kim & Scott Isaac. Four Grandchildren: Holly (Andy) Holden, Heather (Kevin) McKeehan, Hunter Isaac and Hope (Adam) Caraway. Two Great Grandchildren: Eva Holden and Eden Caraway, and Betty Shell who was like a sister to him. Four Brothers: Lawrence Largent, Ernie Largent, Clawrence Largent and Eddie Largent. Several nieces and nephews. Also his special four legged buddy "Teaser".

Graveside Service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2024 in the Johnson-Roan View Cemetery, Roan Mountain with the Rev. Nevil Smith officiating.

Active Pallbearers will be: Andy Holden, Kevin McKeehan, Hunter Isaac, Adam Caraway, Coty Hughes and Brian Blare.  The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home prior to the graveside service.
