Earnest Earl Largent, 82, Hampton, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2026 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. He was born January 13, 1944 in Carter County to the late Oscar and Lillie Julian Largent. Earnest was a graduate of Hampton High School. He was retired from the Ford Motor Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Vera Cummings Largent, a granddaughter: Brittany Knight, To Sisters: Louise Honeycutt and Shirline Roberson and One Brother: Billy Julian.

Survivors include his Daughters: Laura Largent and Dee Hendrix. Three Grandchildren: Brandon Knight, Derek Smith and Emily Smith. Two Great Grandchildren: GI-GI Tanner and Jace Tanner. Three Brothers: Clarence Largent, Eddie Largent and Lawrence Largent. Several Nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2026 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Tony Trott officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum of Peace, Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
