Earl Wade Cordell, 69, Roan Mountain, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at the Greystone Health Care Center, Blountville. He was born March 10, 1953 in Banner Elk, North Carolina to the late Bynum and Reva Johnson Cordell. He was retired from the Maintenance Department of Ivy Hall Nursing Home. He loved Motorcycle Racing and working with Cattle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Rebecca Morrison Cordell and a daughter: Mickie Cordell.

Survivors include three children: Trenda Forman, Wade Bynum Cordell, and Josh (Heather) Cordell. His Step-Children: Brian Russell, Keith (Emily) Russell and Kevin (Paige) Russell. 11 Grandchildren: Demetrice Cordell, Megan Forman, Brent Forman, Jordan Coffey, Journey Oliver, ,Jaylen Herron, Nicholas Oaks, Hayden Cordell, Aldon Cordell, Tristan Cordell and Macon Cordell. Three Great Grandchilden: Carson, Enzlee and Kayzleigh. Several Step Grandchildren. Two Sisters: Nickie Cordell (Jim) Strickland, and Penny Cordell Miller. One Brother: Darrell (Brenda) Johnson.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2023 in the Aldophus Cordell Cemetery (Upper Shell Creek, Roan Mtn.) with Pastor Terry Lyons officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family members. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 2:15 p.m. Friday.
