Obituary

Douglas Leon McCloud, 64, Elizabethton, went to his Eternal Home, Friday, February 27, 2026 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born March 28, 1961 in Elizabethton to the late Ray McCloud & Frances Deborah Pierce McCloud. Douglas was a 1980 graduate of Happy Valley High School. He was a retired employee of Tennessee Eastman Chemical Company, having worked there for over 40 years. While he enjoyed several hobbies including Motorcycling, Boating, and Tennis; his two favorite pastimes were spending time with his grandson and helping people. He was a member of Siam Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Gary Pierce.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years: Annette Ward McCloud. Two Sons: Bryan Douglas McCloud and Brandon (Lauren) McCloud. One Grandson: Colton McCloud. Two Sisters: Sandra Pugh and Glenda (Bob) Sams and Two Brothers: Jeff McCloud and Tommy (Rhonda) McCloud.

A Service to Celebrate the life of Douglas will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday March 4, 2026 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Brian Holloway officiating and special music by Frank Eads. Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 5, 2026 in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be: Bryan McCloud, Brandon McCloud, David Bulla, Mark Simerly, Chris Wilson, Brad Headrick, David Peters, Gary Edwards, Gary Jenkins and Doug Stevens. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Glen Maney, Bob Sams, Rusty Edens, David Newell, Jerry Ford, Co-Workers a Tennessee Eastman, his church family and his many friends. The family would like to express a special thank you to John Bulla, Dr. Colbaugh, and the ER Staff at Johnson City Medical Center and Sycamore Shoals Hospitals, and First Responders.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family at our web-site www.memorialfcelizabethton.com. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. Thursday to go to the cemetery. In-lieu of sending flowers, please make a contribution to the Siam Baptist Church Building Fund.
