Douglas Lee Caraway, 69, Roan Mountain, passed away Friday, May 15, 2026 in the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born February 11, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois to the later William Alfred & Nella Anna Montgomery Caraway. He had lived most of his life in Carter County. He served in the United States Navy. He worked in shrubbery most of his life. He loved to fish. He attended Taylor Chapel Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Sherman Caraway and two brothers: Ronald and Jeff Caraway.

Survivors include his wife: Wanda Lou Fields Caraway. Two Daughters: Margaret (Kelly) Caraway and Rachael (Daniel) Clawson. Three Grandsons: Austin Shane, Abigail Falin and Alyssa Clawson. Two Sisters: Caroline Moke and Kathy Arnett and One Brother: Darrell Caraway. Several nieces and nephews.

It was his wish to be cremated and no services are planned.
