Donna Marie
Roberts
Jan 29, 1950 — Oct 16, 2026
Elizabethton
Donna Garland Roberts slipped quietly out of this world and into the next early Friday morning, October 16, 2026. Born on January 29, 1950 in Western North Carolina she grew up in the hollers and hills of western NC and east Tennessee. Living in Limestone Cove, she met her husband and started her family. Between her and Dad there were numerous adventures as they went through life. Living in West Texas, we discovered numerous wonders such as the Sandhills, Carlsbad Caverns and Tombstone Arizona. Mom enjoyed drives and there were many roadside picnics on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Returning to Tennessee, they finished raising her kids and worked at various places. She worked at various places retiring from Superior Wheel. Even as she advanced in age and her health declined, she found various things she could do. Sitting still was not her strong suit. One of her favorites late in life was working in an adult daycare. Another favorite pastime was sitting and visiting with friends. Mom would prepare enough food for a week and insist you eat your fill and more. She never knew a stranger – ever.
Donna is survived by her kids: Kenny, wife Amanda and grandsons Lane and Ty; James, wife Vickie and granddaughters Kristina Dier(Jared) and Alexia; Angelea Sanders, husband Ben and granddaughter Kayla Hughes(Logan). Kayla gave her the first great grandkids – Ryleigh, Ariya and Liam. Her grandkids and great grandkids are her pride and joy. Her siblings- Marshall, David, Dot, Lisa and Richard. Also Dimple and Judy. Very special friends Lydia and Jo.
