Donna S. Howell Lowry, Elizabethton passed from this life to " A GLORIOUS NEW LIFE IN THE PRESENCE OF HER SAVIOR AND LORD", Saturday July 22, 2023 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. She was born in Naomi, West Virginia, but had lived in Elizabethton and Johnson City since the early 50's.
She was an active member of Lynn Valley Baptist Church for many years, A member of the Celebration Choir and the Ladies Sunday School Class.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents: Henry and Juanita Johnson Howell, The father of her children: Charles "Bud" Rainbolt; Robert "Lyle" Lowry and Ron Borkhuis, a son: Charles "Dean" Rainbolt, a daughter: Kimberly Rainbolt Taylor, a son-in-law: Tony Taylor, Sr., Three Sisters: Wanda Howell, Marie Oliver and Helen Miller, Three brothers: Charles Howell, James "Jay" Howell and Junior Howell.
Those left to cherish her memory: A special great nephew "Son" Joshua Burrow and wife: Amanda Burrow of Elizabethton. A very special great-Great nephew: Adreyan Dale Burrow who was so deeply loved by her. A daughter-in-law: Dawana Rainbolt, Hampton, Robert Lyle Lowry, Jr., and wife Debra of Tampa, Florida, Gerald Borkhuis and wife Peggy of New York, Jimmy Borkhuis, Jonesborough., Grandsons: Elijah Rainbolt, Robbie and Carolyn Lowry, Florida, Chris and Laura Lowry and JT Borkhuis, both of North Carolina. Granddaughter: Skylar Butler, Elizabethton. Her Great Grandchildren: Asher Butler, Elizabethton, Charles "Cash" Deyton, Elizabethton, Abigail, Amelia, and Luke Lowry of Florida, Jack Lowry, North Carolina, Jaxon Burkhuis, Jack and CJ Lowry of North Carolina, Kinlee Shanks and Gracelyn Burrow. One Brother: Jack and Brenda Howell, Elizabethton. One Sister: Nancy Markland, Elizabethton. A Sister-In-Law: Mildred Howell, Bristol. Several nieces, great nieces and nephews that were loved so much, also survive.
Graveside Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2023 in Monte Vista Memorial Park, Johnson City with Pastor Tim Tapp officiating. Music will be provided by Larry Adams. Pallbearers: Grandsons and Nephew: Elijah Rainbolt, Joshua Burrow, David Johnson, Chris Lowry, Houston Combs and Sam Miller. Honorary Pallbearers: My church family of Lynn Valley Baptist Church.
