Obituary

Donna Kay Gobble, 50, Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024, in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. A native of Carter County, she was born September 10, 1973. Donna was a graduate of Hampton High School. She loved animals and through the years she had several of them she was a member of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. In her earlier years she loved to play softball. She was a member of the New Hope Ministries Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother: Roseanna Shell, Grandmother: Irene Roberson, Father-In-Law: Elmer Gobble, and her two furry four legged friends: Chance and Rascal.

Survivors include her husband: Larry Gobble. One Daughter: Laci Rose Gobble. Multiple nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Her Step-Father: Lonnie Lowe, Her Step-Brother: Shane Lowe. Her Mother-In-Law: Jean Gobble.

A Service to Celebrate the life of Donna Gobble will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2024 in the Sunset Free Will Baptist Church, 6676 US Highway 19 E, Roan Mountain with the Rev. Gary Whitehead and Rev. Terry Richardson officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be: David Gobble, Jeff Gobble, Chris Deloach, Nick Deloach, Ryan Peters, Gary Roberson and Tommy Roberson. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Life Care Center, the Softball and Basketball families of Elizabethton, Hampton and Unicoi for all their support during her illness.
