Obituary

Desirae Dawn Clark, 27, Roan Mountain, passed away unexpectedly, on Monday December 15, 2025. She was born August 15, 1998. Desirae was a valued employee of Luttrell Staffing Group, Kingsport. She was a quiet soul with many talented aspirations; she was a member with the Johnson City Community Band. Desirae graduated from Cloudland High School and Lincoln Memorial University received her Bachelor's and Associate Degree and was working on her Master's in Accounting. She was Valedictorian of the Cloudland Class of 2016 and was the drum major in the Cloudland High School Marching Band. Desirae was musically talented playing French horn, harp, mellophone and played the Violin and guitar. She loved playing harp at church events. Desirae loved painting and was very good at it. She loved to crochet and was the cookie maker for family occasions. Desirae was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, Newland, North Carolina and attended Morgan Branch Free Will Baptist Church, Roan Mountain often with her precious Mamaw Wanda. Desirae was the daughter of Jerry & Jenny Clark, Roan Mountain. Desirae was preceded in death by her grandfathers: Charles Jones and Eugene Clark, and Aunt Kim Jones.

Survivors include her Parents: Jenny & Jerry Clark, Grandmothers: Wanda Frye, Roan Mtn., Janvea Clark, Newland, NC., her brothers: Chad (Jessica) Clark, Spruce Pine, NC., Chase (Bunny) Clark, Newland, NC., her Nephews: Caleb, Chance & Casper Clark, Niece: Chloe Clark, who Desirae adored. She loved her furry friends Bear, Jazz, and Butter and Ollie. Numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins that adored her. She had a special place for her uncle Tim Hollman that she loved to aggravate. Desirae held a special place in her heart for Myles Cook who rescued her out of flood waters during the Helene flood.

A Service to Celebrate the life of Desirae will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2025, in the Morgan Branch Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Justin Hodges and Pastor David Atkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Perkins Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Terry Jones, Eston Blair, Brian Blair, Jamie Blair, Chance Clark, and Caleb Clark, Music will be by Justin Hodges. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Ray Blair, Steve Blair, Chase Clark, Chad Clark and Rick Clak. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. prior to the service.
