Dennie T. Ensor, 83, Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023 in the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a graduate of Unaka High School. He was a member of Dungan Chapel Baptist Church, he was an avid Red Sox Fan, he loved fishing and hunting. Dennie also loved Unaka Basketball. He coached Midway Boys Elementary Basketball for years. One of his happiest moments was the year Unaka Won the State Championship.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years; Ruby Fortner Ensor. His Sons: Donald James Ensor & wife Stephanie and John Daniel Ensor & wife Robin. Five Grandchildren: Brandi & Chris, Davy, Daniel, Madison & Nick and Macy. One Great Granddaughter; Allie Jeena.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Carter County Animal Shelter, 2535 Sycamore Shoals Drive, Elizabethton, Tenn. 37643.
