Denise Hicks Laws, 65, Elizabethton went home to be with her Lord and Saviour Friday, April 11, 2025 at her residence. She was born in Elizabethton, April 28, 1959 to the late Gary & Ann Shell Hicks. She was a graduate of Elizabethton High School and attended East Tennessee State University. She was a retired employee of the City of Elizabethton after 17 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Laws and a son: Daniel Range. She was a member of the Chinquapin Grove Baptist Church, Bluff City.

Survivors include a daughter: Adrienne Cross & husband, Gerald. A Step-Daughter: Misty Cox. Two Grandchildren: Jude Cross and Ian Cross. One Sister: Dawn Hicks and a brother: Dennis Hicks and wife Jana. Two Nieces: Kristen Campbell and Kendra Hicks. One Great Nephew: Gabe. Her special friends: Kris Stennett and Judy Young.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, May 2, 2025 in the Dry Hill Cemetery, Butler with Pastor Rusty Verran officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Chinquapin Grove Baptist Church Youth Group, 1727 Chinquapin Grove Road, Bluff City, Tenn. 37618.
