ELIZABETHTON – Deborah Gail Williams, 65, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 16, 2023.

Debbie was a lifelong resident of Carter County and graduated from Elizabethton High School in 1975. She then graduated from Steed College in 1979 and went to work for the City of Elizabethton. She retired from there after 42 years of service. She was a member of Doe River Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald Max and Delores Williams.

Debbie is survived by her sister, Jeri-Kay Williams and Melissa "Missy" Bare (Gary); nephew, Corey Bare (Maggie); great nephew and great niece, Carson Bare and Madelyne Bare; a host of extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, February 3, 2023, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Brother Kent Hyder will be officiating.  Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 2:45 PM.
