Obituary

Darrell Williams, 77, Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023 at the Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Clarence C. & Josephine Ritchie Williams. Darrell was an Auto Body Detailer. He loved having muscles cars and going to the car show. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother: Harold Williams and a great nephew: Billy "Peanut" Hilton. He was of the Christian Faith.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years: Barbara Forbes Williams. A Son & Daughter-In-Law: Darrell Wayne & Donna Williams. A Grandson: Chris Whitehead. His Brother & Wife: Clarence E. (Charlotte) Williams. Two Nieces: Kathy Hilton and Ann (James) Andrews. Several Great Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. His Brother & Sister-In-Law: Randy & Nadine Forbes and his nephew & niece: Wesley & Megan Buckner and Great nephew: Caleb.

A Graveside Service for family and friends will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Carl Grindstaff officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Jonathan Bremer and the Staff at the ICU 2600 Wing, Johnson City Medical Center. Friends may register their presence at the funeral home 12 noon until 5 p.m. Monday or Tuesday morning until 12 noon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.  Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday.
