Danny Harold Peterson, 66, Butler, passed away Friday, August 4, 2023. He was born June 2, 1957 in Warren, Michigan, but had lived in Tennessee since 1967. Danny was a graduate of Hampton High School where he was on the Hampton Bull Dog Basketball Team He was also on the Watauga Conference record for track. He attended East Tennessee State University. He was a pipe welder. Danny attended Cobbs Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his Mother: Margie Fender Peterson who died September 8, 2001.

Survivors include his father: Boyd Peterson, of Butler, A Brother & Sister-in-Law: Dennis & Linda Peterson, Elizabethton, a daughter: Danielle of Martinsville, Virginia Two Nieces: Nicole Hartley and Angela Bowman. Four Great Nephews and One Great Niece. His special friend: Linda McElyea Wilson. Also several cousins.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Harvey White and his brother Pastor Dennis Peterson officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday, August 11, 2023 in the Rock Springs Cemetery, Butler. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Friday will be: Jimmy Dean Courtner, Lester White, Calum Trivette, J.J. Bowman, Tine Bowman, Ford Bowman, Jaidyn Trivette and Jesse Bowman. Honorary Pallbearers will be his life long friends, Steve Pierce and Bobby Johnson. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Gideons International, Johnson County Chapter. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
