Cody Allen Higgins, age 35, of Gray, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Tri Star Centennial Hospital in Nashville. Cody was born in Elizabethton on May 27, 1990, to Donna Higgins (Bowers) Young and the late William Jackson Higgins, Sr. In addition to his father, Cody was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Howard and Rebecca Bowers; an aunt, Teresa Emmons; and a nephew, William Jackson Higgins, IV.

Cody was a funny, caring and kindhearted young man. Above all else he loved his family and was a devoted and wonderful father, son, brother and uncle. He was a man of great faith and was very loved and will be missed greatly. Cody enjoyed playing basketball, gaming, and soccer.

Those left to cherish Cody and remember him include his mother, Donna Higgins Young; a brother, William Jackson Higgins Jr. (Billy Jack)and his niece Ariana; his beloved son, Lucas Allen Burch - Higgins and his mother Savana Burch; His Uncle David Emmons (Teresa) his cousins, Amanda (Joey) Whitson, Brandy (Dacota) Maney and Josh Emmons; his aunt, Nyoka Allison; his cousin Jeremy Allison his uncle, William (Linda) Bowers Cousins Keith Bowers, Traci Bowers and Steven Bowers Uncle Tim (Sherri) Bowers; Cousins Timmy (Misty) Jessica (Shane) Misty Bowers and Shane Lambert His fiancé, Danielle Lambert; and several cousins, aunts & uncles.

A service to celebrate and honor Cody's life will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Elizabethton with Pastor Cary Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel prior to the service on Tuesday.

The graveside service will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Lucas Burch Higgins, Josh Emmons, David Emmons, Delan Maney, Alex Maney, Dakota Maney, Austin Whitson, Jayven Whitson, and Dennis Maney. Jeremy Allison will serve as honorary pallbearer.
