Obituary

Clifford N. Vandeventer, 95, Elizabethton, went to be with his Lord, Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born August 8, 1929 in Elizabethton to the late Charles & Cora Buckles Vandeventer. He was a graduate of Elizabethton High School and attended Milligan College. He served in the United States Army. Clifford was a retired Shipping Supervisor with North Electric. He was a member of American Legion Post 49, and the Gideon International of Elizabethton. He was a member of the First Church of The Nazarene, Elizabethton where he had served as a Sunday School Teacher for 60 plus years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Joyce Elizabeth Vandeventer, two sisters: Velma Glover and Pauline Nave and One Brother: Phil Vandeventer.

Survivors include His Son: Carman (Angie) Vandeventer. His cat "Tom".

A Service to Celebrate the life of Clifford will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2025 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Kenley Knight officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum of Peace, Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from members of First Church of the Nazarene. Condolences may be sent to the family at our web-site www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
