Clay Michael Potter, 62, Butler passed away Monday, December 16, 2024 in Kingsport. He was born May 25, 1962 in Johnson City to the late Clay E. & Frances Smith Potter. He was a graduate of Hampton High School. He was a School Bus Driver for Little Milligan Elementary in Carter County. He also worked at the Elk Mills General Store for many years. He loved to play soft ball, NASCAR, and watch wresteling.  Clay was a member of Meadow View Baptist Church.

Survivors include two Children: Hunter Clay Potter, Samantha  Adcox and husband Josh Guy. Two Grandchildren: Derek Michael Potter and Ellie May Potter. Two Sisters: Freida Peterson and Sabrina Harris and husband Jason. One Brother: Rev. Mark Potter and wife Sandi. The Mother of his children: Christy Potter. Several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 19, 2024 in the Buntontown Cemetery, Butler with the Rev. Gary Bowman officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 12:15 a.m. Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery.
