In Loving Memory of Christopher “Mark” Goode

Christopher “Mark” Goode, age 51, Elizabethton, Tn, passed away Friday, July 3, 2026 after an extended battle with health problems. He was born February 22, 1975 in Woodbridge, Virginia and had lived most of his life in Carter County. He served in the US Navy  and served on the USS Carl Vincent during Desert Storm in the Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA 22) in the aviation division. Mark had worked as a Diesel Mechanic. He will be remembered for his funny, outgoing personality, his kind heart, and the joy he brought to everyone around him.

Mark loved his family deeply and leaves behind his parents, Michael and Carol Goode; his daughter, Angelica Faith Franklin; his grandson, Baker James Padgett; his sister and brother-in-law, Amy and Steve Murray; and many nieces and nephews.

We take comfort in knowing he is now at peace in the presence of the Lord.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2026 in First Free Will Baptist Church, Elizabethton with Poncho Guichard and Ronnie Trivette officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1 p.m. Saturday prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Juvenile Diabetes. The Goode family thanks everyone for their prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.
