Charlotte Anne Sams Morris, 85, Johnson City, passed away Monday, August 31, 2026 at the Hillview Health Center. She was born January 12, 1941 in Erwin, Tennessee to the late Mitchell Owen and Rosa Mae Gilbert Sams. She was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Delores White.

Survivors include her Children: April (Randy) Blankenship, Johnson City , Jack (Penny Morrison) McCauley, Centre, Alabama, and Jeffrey (Alisa) McCauley, Cherokee, Alabama. Five Grandchildren: Randa Wilson, Mackenzie Blankenship, Jace McCauley, Chloe McCauley and Christian McCauley. Two Great Grandchildren: Fields Wilson and Shepard Wilson.

Four Sisters; Nancy Whirledge, Elizabethton, Lois Bouton, Elizabethton, Pat Jarrett, Roan Mountain, and Sherry Wilson, Elizabethton. One Brother: Roscoe Sams, Elizabethton. Many nieces and nephews. Her beloved dog “Daisy Mae.”

Private Family Services will be conducted Friday, September 4, 2026 in Happy Valley Memorial Park with Mr. Jace McCauley officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
