Charles James Waycaster, 51, Elizabethton, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born September 20, 1973 in Dearborn, Michigan. He had lived most of his life in Carter County. He was a graduate of Hampton High School. He had worked at Mays Brothers, Johnson City as a Machine Operator. He was a member of the Tennessee State Reserve. He was an artist, loved to read and loved the outdoors. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Johnson City. He was preceded in death by his mother: Sylvia June Gobble Waycaster, a brother: Samuel Waycaster and a Sister: Ann Waycaster.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years: Sally Campbell Waycaster. One Son: Steven Waycaster & wife Stephanie. One Brother: Steve Waycaster & wife Rita, One Sister and adoptive mother: Lelia Burdge & husband Gary. His adopted brother & sister: Charlie Johnson & wife Shilo and Sasha Johnson, Nephews: Justin Waycaster & wife Jessica and Joseph Waycaster, also several other nieces & nephews. His Brothers & Sisters-in-law: Donnie & Jenny Blevins, Ronnie & Patty Blevins, Kevin & Robin Campbell, Micky Campbell, also his special friends: Tammy & Kim Garland, Amber & Preston Belcher, Chris & Lisa Puttman, Jane & Gerald Buckles and Paula Ensor.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Memorial Funeral Chapel. A service will be held at St. Elizbeth in Elizabethton, TN at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 27, 2025 with Father Jesus Guerrero, officiating. The service will be followed by interment at West Cemetery in Hampton, TN. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
