Charles S. Henson, 80, Elizabethton, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025 in the Franklin-Woods Hospital. He was born November 17, 1944 in Avery County, North Carolina to the late Walter and Etta Hill Henson and lived most of his life in Carter County. He was retired from the Triad Packing Company, Bristol. He had served in the National Guard for several years. He was a member of the Pleasant Beach Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Two Sisters: Dorothy McCall and Yvonne Henson and one brother: Oscar Henson.

Survivors include his wife: Texie Henson. One Sister: Emily Ornduff, Jonesborough. Several nieces, nephews and cousins

Graveside Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 13, 2025 in Happy Valley Memorial Park with Pastor Mark Fowler officiating. Music will be provided by Greg Rusten. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 1:45 p.m. Thursday will be: Tommy Ornduff, Jr., Eric Ornduff, Travis Berry, Kelly Crain, Joel Street, Jr., and Cameron Crain. Honorary Pallbearers will be his church family. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Franklin-Woods Hospital for their loving care he received during his stay there.
